Dalton Estate Fumé Blanc 2019
Dalton Fume Blanc is fermented with wild yeast in oak casks and allowed to age for a further four months in a barrel. The wine is supple and fruity, with notes of citrus and pineapples subtly balanced with a rich and smoky character from the barrel.
This is classic fumé style wine most suited to the Mediterranean climate. The wine is light with soft acidity combining the fruity aromas of citrus and guava and a subtle toasty oak character.
This wine is great with a whole host of dishes, including grilled or baked fish e.g. tuna, snapper, or red mullet; Fumé Blanc is equally at home with roast chicken and will also sit comfortably beside spicy dishes such as Thai food.
