Gluck Estates Pinot Gris. Pure. Alive. Unmistakably Hungarian.
Aged six months in new, light-toasted Hungarian oak — 500-litre barrels that lend a gentle embrace without overpowering the fruit — this Pinot Gris emerges from the calcareous brown forest soils of the Etyek with a character entirely its own. In the glass, it glows gold with warm orange undertones, a color as striking as the story behind it.
The nose offers ripe apricot and sun-warmed citrus, with a lift of pineapple that keeps it bright and inviting. On the palate, those fruit notes carry through with grace, underscored by soft, toasty oak and the quiet minerality of limestone-rooted soils. It is rich yet balanced — a wine that speaks in the warm tones of harvest, shaped by a land the Gluck family waited 75 years to return to. Pairs beautifully with roasted pork, duck confit, aged soft cheeses, or a long evening at the table.
